DAY 16: THURSDAY NOVEMBER 16. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: JEREMIAH 15V10-14.

10 ¶ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

11 The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

13 Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

14 And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

Jeremiah 15:10-14 is a poignant passage that delves into the prophet’s struggle with his calling and the overwhelming sense of rejection he experiences.

In this section, Jeremiah expresses his frustration and even questions God’s justice, highlighting the internal turmoil he faces as he faithfully delivers God’s messages to an unresponsive and resistant audience.

The passage ultimately adds depth and nuance to the theme of reconciliation, showcasing the complexities and challenges encountered in the process of restoring broken relationships.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, as we reflect on the words of Jeremiah, we are reminded of the immense courage and resilience required in the pursuit of reconciliation.

Help us understand that the path to healing is not always straightforward, and that setbacks and doubts may arise. Grant us the strength to persevere in our efforts to rebuild broken relationships, even when faced with opposition or rejection.

Guide us, O Lord, with your wisdom and grace, as we seek to reconcile with others and ultimately find reconciliation with You.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
