NEWSLETTER – MAY 2026.

Welcome to the beautiful month of May 2026!May this new season usher you into deeper encounters with God, renewed strength, and undeniable manifestations of His power. No matter how the previous months have been, May stands before you as a fresh page—full of divine possibilities.

“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.” (KJV)

INTRODUCTION TO THE SCRIPTURE

The book of Nahum reveals God’s justice, power, and sovereignty. In this verse, we see a balanced revelation of God—He is patient, yet powerful; merciful, yet just. Most strikingly, He is not absent in chaos—He moves within it.

Nahum 1:3 unveils three profound truths:

1. God is Patient but Not Passive

“The Lord is slow to anger…”
God does not rush to judgment. He gives room for repentance, showing His mercy and long-suffering nature.

2. God is Great in Power

“…and great in power…”
His patience should never be mistaken for weakness. God possesses unlimited authority over all creation.

3. God Rules Over Every Storm

“…the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm…”
Storms—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—do not control God; He controls them. Even in chaos, He is working His purpose.

1. The Storm and Jesus (Mark 4:37–41)

When a fierce storm arose, the disciples panicked—but Jesus spoke peace. This demonstrates that God is present and authoritative even when situations seem out of control.

2. Job’s Trial (Job 38:1)

God answered Job out of the whirlwind. This shows that God often reveals Himself in the midst of life’s storms, not outside them.

3. Elijah on Mount Horeb (1 Kings 19:11–12)

God was not in the wind, earthquake, or fire— but He controlled them. He revealed Himself in a still, small voice, showing His sovereignty over both the dramatic and the quiet.

Do Not Fear the Storm: What looks like chaos is under divine control.

Recognize God’s Power: No situation is beyond His authority.

Stay Steadfast in Faith: God’s way may not be obvious, but it is always purposeful.

Wait for Divine Justice: God sees all and will act righteously.

Isaiah 40:10 – The Lord comes with strong hand and mighty power.

Romans 9:22 – God endures with much patience.

Psalm 18:7–15– God reveals His power through nature.

Exodus 14:21–22 – God made a way through the sea.

As you journey through May, remember: the storms you face are not signs of abandonment but evidence that God is actively involved. He walks through the whirlwind, directs the storm, and brings clarity out of confusion.

This month, refuse fear. Instead, embrace confidence in the God who rules both calm and chaos.

May 2026 is not a month to retreat—it is a month to trust boldly, stand firmly, and watch God move powerfully.

The same God who commands the storm is working behind the scenes of your life.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for bringing us into the month of May. Thank You for Your patience, Your power, and Your sovereignty.

Lord, in every storm we may face this month, help us to trust that You are in control.

Let Your power be revealed in our lives.

Calm every raging storm, make a way where there seems to be none, and strengthen our faith to stand firm in You.

Teach us to wait on You and to walk confidently in Your purpose. Let this month be filled with testimonies, breakthroughs, and divine encounters.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Shalom!
