SCRIPTURE FORNTHE MONTH: PROVERBS 3V5-6.

THEME: “TRUST IN THE LORD ALWAYS.”

Dear Beloved,

Happy New Month and welcome to the Month of May 2024.

As we step into the blossoming month of May, filled with hopes and promises, let us anchor our hearts on the timeless wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6;

“¶⁵Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

⁶In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)

In a world often clouded with uncertainty and confusion, these verses serve as our guiding light, illuminating the path of faith and trust in our Heavenly Father. As we journey through this month, let us reflect on the profound lessons embedded in these words.

Trusting in the Lord is not merely a passive act but an active surrender of our hearts, minds, and wills to His divine guidance. It requires us to relinquish our own limited understanding and submit to His perfect wisdom, knowing that He alone holds the blueprint of our lives.

Throughout the Scriptures, we find numerous examples of individuals who placed their unwavering trust in the Lord and experienced His faithfulness in remarkable ways.

From Abraham’s obedience in offering Isaac to Daniel’s courage in the lion’s den, each narrative serves as a testament to the transformative power of trust in God.

In our journey together, let us delve into three pivotal lessons illuminated by Scripture, guiding us to deepen our trust in the Almighty.

Lesson 1: Surrendering Control:

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37v5 (KJV)

In a world that exalts self-sufficiency and control, we are reminded to relinquish the illusion of control and entrust our lives entirely to the sovereign hands of God.

As we surrender our plans, dreams, and desires to Him, we experience the liberating peace that comes from trusting in His perfect will.

Lesson 2: Seeking Divine Guidance:

“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30v21 (KJV)

Trusting in the Lord requires an attentive heart that seeks His guidance in every aspect of life. Just as a shepherd leads his sheep, God lovingly directs our steps, guiding us along the path of righteousness and blessing. May we heed His gentle whispers and follow His leading with unwavering trust.

Lesson 3: Resting in His Promises:

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised” Hebrews 10v23 (KJV)

Even in the midst of trials and tribulations, our faith is anchored in the unchanging faithfulness of God. His promises serve as our steadfast anchor, providing comfort and assurance in every season of life.

Let us cling to His Word with unwavering faith, knowing that He who promised is faithful to fulfill His plans for us.

When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He graciously directs our paths, leading us with grace and wisdom.

May this month be marked by a deepening of our trust in the Lord, as we lean not on our own understanding but wholly on His unfailing love and providence.

Let us journey together with confidence, knowing that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion in Jesus name.
