A Short Mount Zion Film

8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.” (KJV)

In 2 Corinthians 12:8-11, the apostle Paul speaks about his own struggles and the strength he found in Christ during times of worry and anxiety. His experiences serve as a reminder that our weaknesses can lead us to rely more fully on the power of God.

In this passage, Paul’s words offer comfort and encouragement to those facing similar challenges, showing that God’s grace is sufficient in our times of need.

Heavenly Father,

Help us to find strength in our weaknesses and to trust in your sufficient grace during times of worry and anxiety.

Grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding as we place our burdens before you.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
