RECONCILIATION SERIES

DAY 11: SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: 1 PETER 3V8-11.

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

1 Peter 3:8-11 presents a powerful reflection on the concept of reconciliation, particularly within the context of Christian living. This passage highlights the importance of fostering harmonious relationships, practicing compassion, and demonstrating humility. It encourages believers to actively pursue reconciliation as a means to promote unity and peace within the body of Christ. Peter’s words inspire us to embrace the transformative power of reconciliation, not only in our relationships with fellow believers but also in our interactions with all people.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you with open hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom on the journey of reconciliation. Help us to cultivate a spirit of empathy, understanding, and compassion towards others.

Teach us to be conscientious in our words and actions, always striving to build bridges and promote harmony. Grant us the humility necessary to navigate conflicts, seeking peace and unity above all else.

Strengthen us, Lord, and equip us to actively pursue reconciliation, reflecting your love and grace in all that we do.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.
