DAY 9: SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 9. 2023.

TODAY INSPIRATION: 2 CHRONICLES 7v12-15.

“12 ¶ And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.” (KJV)

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before Your presence, humbled and contrite, recognizing our sins and shortcomings. As we reflect on the words of 2 Chronicles 7:12-15, we acknowledge the afflictions we face, both individually and collectively. Lord, we seek Your mercy and forgiveness for any ways in which we have strayed from Your path.

You have promised that if we, Your people, humble ourselves, seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear our prayers, forgive our sins, and heal our land. We earnestly ask for Your guidance and direction because apart from You, we can do nothing.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the hope we find in Your Word. May we never forget the lessons taught in 2 Chronicles 7:12-15, and may they inspire us to seek You wholeheartedly in every season of our lives.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
