SCRIPTURE FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2025: NUMBERS 6V25-26.
“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” (KJV)
THEME: “LIVING IN THE OVERFLOW OF GOD’S BLESSINGS. “
INTRODUCTION:
As we journey through the month of June, let us embrace the profound message of blessing recorded in Numbers 6:24-26, often called the Priestly Blessing or Aaronic Benediction. This ancient blessing isn’t just words but a declaration of God’s favour, protection, grace, and peace upon His people. In these uncertain times, we are invited to live daily under the canopy of God’s blessing, walking in the overflow of His divine goodness.
MESSAGE EXPOSITION:
Verse 24: “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee”
• Blessing (Provision and Favor): God’s blessing is His provision, favor, and goodness that enriches our lives beyond material wealth (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
• Keeping (Protection): This speaks of God’s shield of protection over us, guarding us from harm, danger, and spiritual attacks (Psalm 121:7-8).
Verse 25: “The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee”
• Face Shine (Divine Presence and Light): God’s face shining signifies His approval, favor, and the light of His countenance dispelling darkness and fear (Psalm 4:6).
• Grace (Unmerited Favor and Help): His grace strengthens us in weaknesses, grants us breakthroughs, and covers our shortcomings (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Verse 26: “The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace”
• Lift Countenance (Attention and Care): God’s attention is on us, like a parent tenderly watching a child, offering love and guidance (Psalm 34:15).
• Peace (Shalom): This peace is not mere absence of trouble but wholeness, health, safety, and prosperity, rooted in a relationship with God (Isaiah 26:3, John 14:27).
