DAILY INSPIRATION Tuesday September 19. 2023.

SEPTEMBER SCRIPTURE: MICAH 2V12-13.

THEME: “THE PROMISE OF DELIVERANCE”

DAY 19: TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 19. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: MATTHEW 11V28-30.

28 ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

Matthew 11:28-30 offers a profound message of hope and reassurance, highlighting God’s unwavering promise to bring deliverance to those who seek it. In these verses, Jesus extends an invitation to all who are burdened and weary, promising rest and comfort in Him. This passage serves as a reminder of God’s compassionate nature and His desire to provide solace and relief for His people.

By addressing those who are burdened, Jesus acknowledges the struggles and challenges that individuals face in their daily lives. He offers a direct solution, urging them to come to Him, for He is the source of true rest and liberation. This promise is not limited to specific circumstances or individuals but is accessible to all who choose to accept Jesus’ invitation.

Furthermore, Jesus uses the imagery of a yoke to illustrate the transformative power of His deliverance. In ancient times, a yoke was a wooden bar fixed across the necks of two animals, used to connect them and share the burden of work. However, Jesus contrasts this common understanding by presenting His yoke as gentle and His burden as light. He reveals His willingness to bear the weight of our struggles, guiding and supporting us throughout our journeys.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We thank you because you are our burden bearer. May this passage serve as an inspiration, comforting those who are struggling and pointing them towards the restorative power of God’s deliverance in their lives.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
