DAY 15: TUESDAY AUGUST 15. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: EZEKIEL 17V22-24.

22 ¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:

23 In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

Ezekiel 17:22-24 highlights the majestic imagery used by the prophet Ezekiel to convey a message of hope and restoration in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. This passage depicts a tender metaphor of a lofty cedar tree being planted on a high mountain, representing the restoration of Israel’s splendor and the establishment of God’s everlasting kingdom. The verses emphasize God’s sovereignty and faithfulness in restoring His people, promising that even in the face of adversity, He will bring forth new growth and bless them abundantly.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, inspired by the words of Ezekiel 17:22-24. We humbly acknowledge Your unwavering faithfulness and the promises of restoration and blessing revealed in this passage.

Lord, just as you brought new life to the fallen cedar tree and planted it on a high mountain, we pray for the restoration of our lives and circumstances. May Your hand be upon us, lifting us up from the trials and challenges we face, and positioning us in a place of strength and victory.

In the same way that You caused the tree to bear fruit and become a shelter for birds of every kind, we ask that You bless and prosper the work of our hands. Let our lives be fruitful, reflecting Your love and grace to all those around us. Grant us the wisdom and discernment to make choices that align with Your will, leading to a life of abundance and purpose.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
