Dearly Beloved,

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we enter the month of August, we are thrilled to focus on the theme of “Restoration,” drawing inspiration from the promises of God found in the Book of Amos 9:11-15.

SCRIPTURE FOR THE MONTH: AMOS 9V11-15.

THEME:”RESTORATION “

Let us delve into the lessons from this passage and discover the hope and blessings that restoration brings into our lives.

Amos 9:11-15 – Restoration Promised:

“11 ¶ In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.” (KJV)

Lessons for August:

1.God’s Faithfulness in Restoration:
Just as God promised to restore the fallen booth of David, He is faithful to restore our lives and circmstances. Trust in God’s unchanging nature and find hope in His promises.

2. The Path of Repentance:
The restoration spoken of in the passage came after a period of judgment. Let us reflect on areas in our lives that need repentance, turning away from sin, and embracing God’s forgiveness.

3. Abundance in Restoration:
God’s promise of abundance and overflowing blessings reminds us of His desire to provide for our needs and bless the works of our hands. Embrace a mindset of gratitude and generosity.

4. Perseverance and Hope: The assurance of God’s everlasting presence and security offers us hope and strength in times of trials.

Let us persevere in faith, knowing that God is with us, guiding and sustaining us.

PRAYERS:

Heavenly Father, We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness and promises of restoration.

As we journey through the month of August, we pray that Your Spirit will guide us into deeper understanding and experience of Your restoration in our lives.

May we embrace repentance, hope, and gratitude, knowing that Your plans for us are good.

Help us to be vessels of restoration in our community and bring glory to Your name.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, making His face shine upon you and being gracious to you.

May He turn His face toward you and grant you peace as you trust in His restoration.

May you experience the joy of God’s abundance and be a channel of His restoration to others. In Jesus name. Amen.
