NOVEMBER SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 5V16-21.

THEME: “EMBRACING RECONCILIATION”

RECONCILIATION SERIES

DAY 18: SATURDAY NOVEMBER 18. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: 1 CORINTHIANS 1V10-13.

“10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

In 1 Corinthians 1:10-13, the Apostle Paul addresses the issue of division and discord within the Corinthian church. He encourages the believers to be united in their thinking and to avoid the formation of factions. Paul emphasizes the importance of reconciliation and unity among believers, highlighting the significance of being of one mind and purpose in Christ.

Reconciliation is a fundamental concept in Christianity, rooted in the idea of restoring harmony and peace. It involves bridging divides, healing broken relationships, and seeking forgiveness. In this specific passage, Paul urges the Corinthians to set aside their differences, conflicts, and divisive loyalties by focusing on their shared commitment to Christ and His message.

Paul’s words remind us of the vital role that reconciliation plays in building a healthy and thriving community of believers. Reconciliation fosters understanding, empathy, and love, making room for grace and healing to take place. It encourages us to actively pursue reconciliation with one another, laying aside personal grievances in order to restore unity and peace.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you with grateful hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom on the path of reconciliation.

Help us to be mindful of our words and actions, that they may promote unity and build bridges of understanding within our communities. Grant us the strength to let go of personal grievances, embracing forgiveness and extending grace to those who have wronged us.

May your love and peace guide our hearts and minds as we strive to be instruments of reconciliation in this broken world. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
