DAY 2: MONDAY OCTOBER 2. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: GENESIS 6V5-8.

5 ¶ And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.(KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

Genesis 6:5-8 reveals a significant shift in the narrative as it depicts the divine judgement upon the wickedness prevalent among humanity.

This passage highlights God’s righteous decision to bring about the Flood, sparing only Noah and his family due to their righteousness. The profound impact of this judgement sets the stage for the subsequent events in the biblical account, emphasizing the importance of moral responsibility and the consequences of disobedience.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before you humbly, acknowledging the weight of your judgement upon the wickedness that was rampant in the world during Noah’s time. As we reflect on Genesis 6:5-8, we are reminded of your holiness and righteousness.

Lord, teach us to examine our own hearts and to turn away from any wickedness within us. Help us to seek righteousness, just as Noah did. Grant us the strength and wisdom to stand firm in obedience to your commandments, even when faced with the temptations of this world.

May we find solace in your mercy, for just as you spared Noah and his family, we ask for your grace to be extended to us. Mold us into vessels of righteousness, that we may bring honor and glory to your name.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
