TODAY’S INSPIRATION: MATTHEW 8V1-4.
“1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” (KJV)
INSPIRATION NOTE:
Jesus’ response, “Be clean,” echoes the fulfillment of God’s promise of deliverance. By His authoritative word, Jesus not only cleansed the leper of his physical ailment but also liberated him from the isolation and shame associated with his disease. This miraculous healing underscores God’s faithfulness in fulfilling His promises and His ability to bring about transformation in the lives of individuals, regardless of their circumstances.
Matthew 8:1-4 is indeed a remarkable example of God’s promise of deliverance through the miraculous healing of a leper. This passage encourages us to approach the Lord with unwavering faith, believing in His authority and power to bring about restoration, both physically and spiritually. May this account inspire us to trust in God’s promises and seek His healing touch in our own lives.
PRAYER:
“Heavenly Father, we thank You for the powerful example in Matthew 8:1-4. We praise You for Your promise of deliverance through Jesus Christ, who empathizes with our struggles and offers healing and restoration. Help us to trust in Your faithfulness and to seek Your touch in our lives.
May this passage remind us that You are always near, ready to deliver us from afflictions and bring us into a place of wholeness.
