THE PROMISE OF DELIVERANCE SERIES

DAY 2: SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 2. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: EZEKIEL 37V21-23.

21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

Ezekiel 37:21-23 offers a profound account of divine intervention and deliverance. In this passage, the prophet Ezekiel conveys a message from God, foretelling the restoration of the scattered Israelites. The verses highlight the promise of God’s redemptive power, assuring the people that He will gather them from all corners of the earth and reunite them as one united nation in the land of Israel.

The passage serves as a powerful reminder that even in the midst of despair and exile, God’s deliverance is imminent. It emphasizes the faithfulness and sovereignty of God, showcasing His unwavering commitment to His chosen people. Underlying this promise of deliverance is the implication of spiritual rejuvenation, as God pledges to cleanse His people of their impurities and establish an everlasting covenant with them.

As we reflect on Ezekiel’s message, we are reminded of the timeless truth that God is actively involved in the deliverance of His people. The verses invite us to contemplate our own need for deliverance and surrender our burdens to the Almighty, knowing that He is both willing and able to set us free.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father,

We come before Your throne, acknowledging Your faithfulness and power to deliver Your people. We thank You for the promise revealed in Ezekiel 37:21-23, where You declare to gather Your scattered ones and bring them together as a united people. We pray for deliverance, Lord, not just in the physical realm but also in our spiritual lives.

May Your Spirit breathe life into areas of our lives that have felt dry and lifeless, just as You brought life to the dry bones in Ezekiel’s vision. Guide us, Lord, to walk in the path of Your purpose and lead us into a deeper understanding of Your promises.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
