HOPE & RESTORATION SERIES
DAY 7: MONDAY AUGUST 7. 2023.
TODAY’S INSPIRATION: LUKE 15V20-24.
“20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” (KJV)
INSPIRATION NOTE:
Luke 15:20-24 captures the powerful message of restoration, emphasizing the boundless mercy and grace extended by the Father to welcome back the repentant son. This passage beautifully exemplifies the immense joy and celebration that accompany genuine reconciliation.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father,
We pray for those who have strayed, that they may feel your gentle tug on their hearts and find the courage to come back to you. Grant them the assurance that no matter how far they have wandered, you eagerly await their return with open arms.
Teach us to extend grace and forgiveness to those who have hurt us, just as you have done for us. Give us the wisdom to mend broken bonds and build bridges of reconciliation.
Thank you for the hope and joy that restoration brings. May we always remember the power of your love to transform lives and restore what was lost.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
