SALVATION AND DELIVERANCE SERIES

DAY 31: MONDAY JULY 31. 2023.

TODAY’S INSPIRATION: ZECHARIAH 3V1-5.

1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.” (KJV)

INSPIRATION NOTE:

In Zechariah 3:1-5, we find a powerful message of hope and restoration. The scene depicts Joshua, the high priest, standing before the Lord, while Satan accuses him. Despite Joshua’s unworthiness, God intervenes and declares him righteous, clothing him in clean garments. This passage reminds us of God’s relentless love and mercy, even in the face of our shortcomings. It is a reminder that no matter what accusations may be hurled against us, God’s grace covers us completely. May this passage encourage us to approach God with boldness, knowing that through Christ, we are made clean and set on a path of restoration.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your redeeming love and grace. Just as You clothed Joshua the high priest in clean garments and pronounced him righteous, we pray that You would cover us with Your forgiveness and righteousness.

Remove any accusations that may come against us and help us to stand firm in our identity as Your beloved children. Empower us to live in the freedom and restoration that comes through Jesus Christ. May this passage remind us of Your unwavering love and encourage us to embrace the fullness of our new life in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
