HIS HEAVENLY LIGHT MINISTRY: WIDOWS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM – “APPEAL FOR DONATION”

I write on behalf of our Ministry, HIS HEAVENLY LIGHT MINISTRY, to acquint you with our WIDOWS SUPPORT PROGRAM scheduled to hold on Thursday April 27. 2023. The median program took place on Saturday November 14. 2020. It is our intention by the grace of God to observe this program every April 27 of the year.

The object of this program is to help alleviate the problems of widows in our society. We started with 50 widows each year. However, this year, we intend to increase the number to 100.

Some of the help we provide include:

1–Provision of medical assistance and drugs.

2—Medical talks by professionals on how to approach and take care of certain ailments and when to seek for medical help.

3–Lecture on how a widow can cope with glaring difficulties and challenges in her environment.

4–Support :To provide each widow with a certain sum to help her start up a small business than can help in sustaining her and her children. We intend to support each widow with the sum of #20,000. This year we are inviting 100 widows.

A talk will be given to explain to them how to properly invest the amount.

They need to start a business, no matter how small. Remember the saying:

” tiny drops of water makes a mighty ocean.”

5–Provision of generous lunch packs for each widow.

6–Each widow will be provided with a bag of palliatives containing:

        1. 10Kg bag of rice.

        2. 4.5L Bottle of Power oil.

        3. 2Kg bag of Ijebu garri.

        4. 1Pkt of Knorr Cubes.

       5. 1Pkt of salt.

       6. 2 Bottles of drinking water

       7. 2 Bottles of soft drinks

       8. 12 Pieces of Indomie packs specially for their children.

       9. 1 Full Chicken

      10. 10 Sachet of Gino Pepper

      11. 4 Tins of Milk  

       12. A Loaf of Bread

       13. A Small Sachet of Dangote Sugar

6–Biblical talks.

7–For the medicals: We provide the services of three doctors, two nurses, a pharmacist, and of course, in attendance, the Medical Director of the hospital we use.

We are hoping to, by the grace of God, to increase the number of doctors and nurses to four each. This will make the medical process faster.

8–We undertake a follow-up on the widows to monitor how they are coping.

(We have a dedicated team for this)..We also follow-up with critical cases by taking them to the hospital. We had two such cases in our first program. One we took to the Yaba Psychiatric hospital and followed up on her medication. We are glad to report that her condition has greatly improved. The second was a bad hypertensive case which we took to Kleinberg Medical Centre in V.I. and followed up on her treatment. We praise God for she is better now.

We keep a card for each widow which we record their details and comments from the doctors at the program, plus follow-up comments as necessary.

My dearly beloved friend, I am telling you about the widows story of hunger and lack because they need your help. We in His Heavenly Light Ministry need your help because every child of a widow deserves to have a decent living. We need to help the mothers to help the children.

You are our hero. Without you, the work does not get accomplished. You can end the problems facing these widows. Indeed you are the solution to their problem of loneliness, want and hunger.

Your support will really make a change—a very positive impact.

Our budget for this year is =N= 5,000,000 (Five Million Naira).

I am appealing to you on behalf of the Ministry to partner with to in Sopprt the 100 widows with your donation. What you give will be greatly appreciated. And by partnering with us, your donation will also help put an end to the pitiable plight of these widows and move them to the next level.
